Slack
Get visual testing notifications and run tests from Slack.
Starter plan
The Slack integration sends notifications to a channel and provides slash commands to interact with VisualQ directly from Slack.
Setup
Go to Integrations
Navigate to Settings > Integrations in your project.
Click Connect Slack
Click the Slack card. You'll be redirected to Slack to authorize the VisualQ app.
Select a channel
Choose the Slack channel where notifications should be posted.
Configure events
Select which events trigger Slack messages.
Slash commands
Once connected, you can use these commands in Slack:

/visualq status | Check the status of the current run |
/visualq projects | List your VisualQ projects |
Notifications
Slack messages include:
- Run status (passed/failed)
- Number of scenarios tested
- Summary of differences found
- Links to the Diff Viewer
- Approve buttons to approve changes directly from Slack
Interactive actions
From Slack notification messages, you can:
- Approve all — approve all failing scenarios in the run
- Re-run — trigger a new test run
